A number of the high younger cooks within the Caribbean confronted off this week in Miami for an unequalled cultural and culinary competitors.
And one crew got here out on high.
Barbados was a named the Caribbean Nationwide Culinary Staff of the 12 months within the return of the Caribbean Lodge and Tourism Affiliation’s Style of the Caribbean competitors this week.
However Barbados wasn’t alone. The Caribbean Bartender of the 12 months award went to Puerto Rico’s Jose Ortega; Caribbean Chef of the 12 months was Bonaire’s Rhashindra Donge; and Caribbean Junior Chef of the 12 months went to Dejuan Toppin of Barbados.
Caribbean Pastry of the 12 months went to Saint Lucia’s Emmany Hippolyte; and the Tony Mack Spirit of the Competitors winner went to Saint Lucia’s crew supervisor, Fabien Vigee.
It was the primary time “Style” had been held since earlier than the pandemic, making its triumphant return in Miami at Florida Worldwide College’s Kovens Middle.
