Colombian service Wingo has formally launched its first-ever route between Medellin and Curacao, Caribbean Journal has realized.
It’s the second path to Curacao for Wingo, which already flies regularly-scheduled service from Bogota.
Medellin-Curacao flights at the moment are working twice each week, with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It’s a lift for a rustic that’s already the biggest supply marketplace for Curacao in South America, with greater than 41,000 guests coming from Colombia to Curacao to date this yr — a 22 p.c soar over 2023.
The South American market continues to be one of many fastest-growing sectors for the Caribbean tourism business, with increasingly more flights coming from the continent to the area, together with one other new flight that simply kicked off from Peru to Jamaica.
