A six-acre oasis in the midst of bustling Germantown, Cliveden as soon as performed a significant function in the one Revolutionary Battle battle fought inside Philadelphia: The Battle of Germantown. As we speak, the positioning hosts programming for adults and youngsters, and guests can see the musket-ball-pocked partitions, early American woodwork, genuine Nineteenth-century Louis Vuitton trunks and the “Blood Portrait” — a picture of a cherished one etched in blood by a fatally wounded British soldier.
