They’re proper on the seaside, staying in one of many Caribbean’s prime luxurious resorts.
They’re handled like royalty, with all the pieces they want at any time. They even do yoga.
And whereas they’re not precisely friends at Nassau’s Baha Mar, they’re VIPs.
The most recent arrivals on the Baha Mar are a bunch of eight child flamingos, the third era of flamingos to name the resort dwelling below the cautious stewardship of the property’s on-site avian crew.
Their eggs, delivered from the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, hatched earlier this month, and as soon as they’re mature, they’ll be a part of the Baha Mar’s current flock of eight “Ambassador Flamingos.”
Day-after-day they take part in all the pieces from flamingo parades to flamingo yoga — together with considerate, intimate flamingo encounters.
“We’re excited to welcome eight new flaminglets to our increasing flock, marking the third era of Ambassador Flamingos at Baha Mar’s Flamingo Cay,” stated Kristin Smith, Avian Curator and Chief Flamingo Officer. “Baha Mar’s distinctive Flamingo habitat was crafted to coach friends about these magnificent creatures and assist their conservation. We couldn’t be prouder to introduce these latest members to the Baha Mar household.”
The resort works carefully with the Bahamas Nationwide Belief to assist flamingo analysis and preservation.
Whereas flamingos will not be thought of endangered, they’re a protected species species, and very important to many ecosystems within the wider Caribbean. That makes their preservation essential, the resort stated.
