The ATB has tapped Melisha Maccow-Niles to the position, succeeding outdoing Chairman Kenroy Herbert.

Maccow-Niles is being joined on the board by new member Calla Gumbs.

Maccow-Niles “is the perfect candidate for Chairperson, primarily based on her years of service on the ATB Board of Administrators and her intensive personal sector tourism expertise,” Anguilla Tourism Minister Haydn Hughes mentioned in a press release supplied to Caribbean Journal. “She is a confirmed chief, adept at constructing consensus, optimizing operational prices, and she or he has a transparent imaginative and prescient for the trade.”

Hughes mentioned the precedence for the brand new chair is to drive an growth of the island’s supply markets.

Anguilla has been working to place itself as a year-round vacation spot, following many years as largely a high-season getaway.

The ATB has been working to vary that notion, as Caribbean Journal not too long ago reported, one thing that has been buoyed by the year-round opening of Anguilla’s main new luxurious resort, Aurora Anguilla.
