Jamaica has topped 55,000 guests since reopening tourism within the wake of the hurricane, officers stated this week.

On July 2 and July 3, no vacationers arrived in Jamaica, with the storm largely shutting down the island.

Within the first week after reopening, the vacation spot topped 55,000 arrivals, in keeping with Jamaica Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett.

“That is what resilience seems to be like. We are able to guarantee the world that 80% of our belongings are intact, and we’re able to welcome you. Our guests returned as a result of that they had confidence in our guarantees, understanding the integrity behind them,” he stated.
