One of many Caribbean’s fastest-growing cruise ports has new management, Caribbean Journal has realized. 

The Antigua Cruise Port has named Gasper George as its new basic supervisor, World Ports Holding Americas confirmed. 

George, a local of Saint Lucia, additionally serves because the rector of operations and product improvement for the Saint Lucia Cruise Port and GPH Japanese Caribbean. 

He succeeds Cynthia Jacobs-Browne, who has been serving as interim basic supervisor previous to his appointment. 

“Gasper’s experience and dedication to excellence make him the perfect chief for this key place. Since becoming a member of GPH in late 2023, he has confirmed to be a useful asset to our crew, considerably contributing to the event and launch of the Saint Lucia Cruise Port redevelopment venture and different essential regional initiatives,” stated Mike Maura, Jr., Regional Director of World Ports Holding, in an announcement offered to Caribbean Journal. “His robust background within the maritime and cruise business, mixed together with his management expertise and dedication to group engagement, positions him to drive progress and innovation at Antigua Cruise Port.”

Antigua’s cruise port in St John’s has been seeing robust development within the post-pandemic interval, notably as a homeport, as extra cruise manufacturers look to launch voyages out of Antigua.
